Sowing Instructions
Sow Runner Bean Enorma Elite Seeds indoors from April take a look at our Propagation Equipment
Sow in individual pots for transplanting after the last frost, or sow directly outdoors from May until early July once the soil has warmed. Sow seeds 5 cm deep and space plants 20–30 cm apart. Allow 60 cm between rows and provide sturdy canes, netting or bean frames before planting, as plants will climb to approximately 2.5–3 metres. Germination usually takes 7–14 days in warm soil. Keep plants well watered throughout flowering and pod development for the highest yields.
Harvesting
Harvest from July until October, picking pods while they are young, smooth and tender. Frequent harvesting encourages continuous flowering and prolongs the cropping season. For exhibition purposes, select the longest, straightest and most evenly coloured pods at their peak quality.
