New for 2026 Yorkshire Long blanch leek.
Yorkshire Long is a new blanch leek bred by Keith Foster of Fosters Seeds, well known for breeding the Yorkshire Green, Yorkshire Blue, Yorkshire Giant and Amelia Pot Leeks.
After trialing this myself last year, I found it to be an outstanding white long leek with lots of quality . This leek when grown well as show leek will achieve a blanch over 18 inches . It has great vigour, a good button and a good straight base. I am sure given the correct culture it will win many shows in the year’s to come.
